My 13th Transfer. Say What!?

Hi! How is everyone doing?!  I hope you are all having an excellent week! :) I had a crazy long week.  It was Transfer week so lots was happening!  It was my Last Transfer meeting which was pretty weird to think about.  I have been to every single transfer meeting just cuz, except for one, last year. just saying.  I get to complete my mission in Richmond wish Sister Tingson still, and I am soooo happy about that! :)

This new missionary that just came in, is from New Zealand, and told me she has read my blog every week since February! What.  Lots of people tell me that and I'm just like... uhhh I hope I said something good! ha I don't even ever remember what I email. ohhh wellz. I forget that other people besides my family read these.... :)Jaynanne sends the family her weekly email, and I (Mom) post it on her blog.  I'm pretty sure she's never seen the blog, :) so she's always amazed when people tell her about it.  When her mission is over, I will print her mission blog into a book for her.

So lately, Sis Tingson and I have been making up Raps to Rejections.  It's pretty fun.  Not gonna lie, I've come up with some pretty good ones.. gotta do what ya gotta do to keep up the faith! :)  They are better in person and I know you are just dying to hear them, but don't fret I'll sing em to you soon!

Do you want to know something.. every now and than I'll be sitting, specifically in Ward Council, and then randomly, it'll just like hit me that the church is true.  I love when that happens.  Not that I ever need reassurance, because you better believe I know it's true! But I just wonder, How can the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Not be true?!  It's so true that I scarce can take it in! Sometimes I have to like take a breather because it is just soooo marvelous, and incredible, and amazing, and outstanding, and beautiful, and magical, and so much good has come from it, that it blows my mind.

I am so grateful that I am a member of Christ's Church and that I have the knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.  I am so grateful to be living in this time of Living day Prophets and the ministering of Angels and the Hastening of the Work! I feel humbled to be a Latter-Day Saint and I thank my lucky stars to be able to share what I know with others and help them feel God's love.  Choosing to serve a mission has been the best decision I have ever made in my entire life.  I am so thankful for all your love and support! It means so much to me! I hope you are all getting answers to your prayers and I hope you are all happy! Just remember that ALL IS WELL!

So be strong and of Good Courage. Fight the Good Fight.  WORK iT!!! Remember the small and simple things and choose to have faith & trust in God.  I promise if you really are doing the 1-10-15 and 3-2-1 steps, than your life, and the life of your family will be forever blessed.  Have an awesome week! Never forget to let your light shine! be you and only you! five stars! LONG LiVE!
Love, Sister Petersen! :)

Mom Note -

Just a reminder to anyone reading this what 1-10-15, and 3-2-1 means....

A couple of years ago our Stake President started the 1-10-15 theme in our Stake...
1  Act of Service a day
10 minutes Early to Meetings
15 minutes of Scripture Reading Daily

The next year the theme changed it 3-2-1...
3 Invitations to activities
2 Placements of BofM
1  In-Home Teach

We have enjoyed these challenges and always keep them in mind.

Life Lessons :)

The Office Sisters Surprised me with a Birthday Cake! :)

Oh Hey! Thank you SO much for all the Birthday wishes! I had an awesome birthday filled with awesomeness! :)
My Recent Convert Emily treated us to a Birthday Lunch when I turned 21!:)

I may or may not have gone here for my 21st birthday! ha

CONGRATULATIONS DAD! Woo Woo! way to be! WAY TO BE!  My Recent Convert Emily was like, " Awh! You are a Princess! You are a Princess to the Bishop! Awh!" haha it was so Asianly cute! :)

Well yesterday afternoon for the first time in the history of forever, We got Transfer Calls!!!!!!!!!!! (this is usually a Monday night of the sixth week of the transfer occurrence) Since the Assistants are in our ward, we talk to them all the time so when we missed their call, we thought nothing of it! (Usually when "Assistants" call you it's a high priority type of thing) So we called them back and it turns out Sister Struempler is getting transferred and I get to Stay here in Richmond and train a new missionary! AHHH! crazy. pray for me.  So I'll be getting my new companion Thursday Morning, but until then, We are the carpool for the four sisters leaving on Wednesday and for the next three days we will be driving them to and from the Greyhound Bus Stop, Mission Office, Mission Home, Apartments, and Airport! Just call us a taxi service! It's pretty fun:)
Staying Hydrated!

After They leave, the group that came out with me and Myself, will be the oldest Missionaries in the Mission! (we were the first set of 19 year old's to come to this mission!  When I first got here there were like 13 Sisters and we made it 24. Now there are over 100 Sisters Serving in the Canada Vancouver Mission! Boom Baby!)  This past week we had to randomly move apartments which was hectic and stressful! Nevertheless, we took it like champs and now we are in the same building as the Chinese Sisters and a Senior Couple so that's pretty great!

Oh, Last Sunday we Had this Canada Wide Stake Conference Broadcast and it was SO POWERFUL! like dang.  Elder Holland and President Eyring spoke to us as well as the General Relief Society President and Elder Perkins! It was SO killer.  If you get a chance, look it up!  Other than that, not much has happened..

Oh I learned how to Breathe! Ya so apparently for 21 years of my life I haven't been breathing correctly! Who knew that you used your stomach to breathe! WHO KNEW!? so yeah.. learned all about what a diaphragm was so that was pretty exciting! The things you learn on a mission..

Actually speaking about learning, I have learned SO much while serving here! I absolutely love learning about the gospel and I love discussing it! Probably one of the Most enjoyable things is when you actually get someone to stop and listen to you and then have a real conversation with you on the street! and it's not just another "let's compare your religion to my religion" but an actual conversation of interest! Those are the best!  Last Week I talked with this guy named Alex at the Sky Train stop and before I even started he was just asking question after question about the Bible and Christ's Ministry among other deep questions and it was so fun to know the answers to the questions and than for him to take my word for it and tell me I was Knowledgeable! The best part was when I tied all back to the Book of Mormon and had him wanting it before I even offered!  Ah Man! It's those Conversations that get you through the day and humble ya because you know that God was inspiring you what to say and you just know that you are not alone! The Spirit is the teacher and testifier and it is up to us to be worthy and obedient to have the Spirit with us always and especially in those times of need!  That's when you feel like an instrument and tool in God's Hands and I am here to tell you that nothing can compare!

I LOVE discussing the Gospel!  I can't get enough of it!  A couple weeks ago, I gained new insights on revelation pertaining to the Plan of Salvation and just this last week I had the rare and sacred opportunity to personally share what I learned with my Mission President just because he knew I wanted to.  I went into his Office, laid out my Journal, planner, Preach my Gospel, Scriptures, hymn book, and his last two Mission Memorandums, on his Desk, slid up a chair, and for a good hour we discussed & studied Eternal Truths.  The Plan of Salvation is True.  God's Love is real.  Jesus is the Christ and the Savior of the World. I know that I am a daughter of God.  I know that one day I will become like him and live in his Kingdom with my family forever! I know that Christ has restored his Gospel back onto the Earth through a Prophet of God and I know that nothing else but the Doctrine of Christ matters.  It is So small and Simple and yet it is So GREAT!

I want to invite you all to Be Strong and of Good Courage and just enjoy the moments!
Keep Calm and Carry On!
1-10-15 & 3-2-1
Five Stars!
LOnG LiVE! WORK iT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love telling people about the Gospel because it is awesome.

HAPPY 25th BiRTHDAY ABiGAiL! :]
oh my heck I loved Trev&Tiff's Photo's! So Presh!:)

Today I am super Excited because my Trainer Sis Byam is Staying with us tonight and then Wednesday morning we are driving her to the Airport because she is at the end of her mission! Such a tender mercy from the Lord that we get to be with each other! YaY! :] Later, Wednesday Night, the new missionaries are staying with us and we are bringing them to transfer meeting! I love transfer week! :)

So today we went to this place called Granville Island in Vancouver and I ate delicious Thai Food at the Farmers Market and it was So Yummy! :)  In my area, there are a lot of Philippine people and sometimes they give us food and it. is. so. good. Nuff Said!  Not gonna lie.. I love food.  like really though.  Last week I went on exchanges with the Chinese Sisters and I love it cuz they always cook awesome food so I get fed well! (I have close to no cooking skills.. no time.. rather sleep.. plus no money.. learned to work while being hungry long ago)

So many great things happened this week. I don't even know what to talk about though... Reading the Book of Mormon has been taking me forever because I just enjoy it so much... it's so good and every time some one will take a Book of Mormon from us and will sincerely commit to reading it, well it is just like the best feeling ever.  You just want them to like your recommendation of the Book so bad and you want them to love it just as much as you! Sometimes I get too excited about the Book of Mormon and about everything else pertaining to the Gospel too! I need to calm down haha I just love everything about God's Plan and when people are actually curious and interested to know more I am just like, "WELL LET ME TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!" haha not really, but sorta.. :) that's how I feel inside anyway, but gotta play it cool if you know what I am saying.  Hmmm...

What else.... alright so my typical day includes lots and lots and lots of contacting.  We talk to everyone we see and we try to have a least twenty quality gospel conversations with people a day which means share a principle of the gospel with them, invite them to do something, and have an actual conversation. If they are interested we say a prayer with them and set up a return apt.  That is what makes them a New investigator and our mission has been having well over 1000 of these every week for the past five months.  I love when I came out on my mission because I have seen it grow so much.  We hasten the Work in the Canada Vancouver Mission.  My day also includes lessons and drop-by's and member visits and more lessons and drop by's and lots of tracting which is contacting and lots of praying and studies and it's just the best.  COME JOIN THE RANKS! :]

Well I gotta go! I love you all! Be spiritually safe! Choose the right! Be strong and of good courage. Remember that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass! 1-10-15 and 3-2-1 baby! five stars! Keep on keeping on! Long live! WORK iT!! :]

LOVE SISTER PETERSEN! :]

LONG LIVE BROOKSWOOD.

NA NA NA NA! NA NA NA NA! HEy Hey hey Goodbye......! That's right. I'm outta here!

So I am being transferred to Penticton in the Okanogan Valley, and my Companion is Sister Allen who was one of Sister Gales Companions in the MTC!  I'm Going to be the District Leader up there and Sister Byam and Sister Willmore are both in my district! WHAT?! I AM SO EXCITED! :] we are going to PAR-TAY!  While respecting the dignity of our calling of course! ;)

I am so sorry that I didn't email yesterday! We had a Mission Conference because Elder Paul V. Johnson of the Seventy came and toured our Mission.  Yesterday was a wild day..   We drove to Richmond with the YSA Sisters and got some hot chocolate at Tim Horton's, then we went to our Conference which was amazing, then we did FHE with the Ward Mission Leader's family as well as a family that we are teaching, then we had a lesson fall through.

Well it is a miracle the lesson fell through because we get this crazy call from the sisters at the same time and so basically, really weird stuff has been going on and we thought their apt got broken into and so we rushed to their aid (but we had to wait for a stupid train and I was TICKED) and the Bishop from the Willoughby Ward came with this huge guy and the Elders showed up to go check it out! Meanwhile, It's Transfer Call night So I was like ah crap!  Turned out everything was ok and their apt was fine, But in the midst of all of this, The Assistants call me with Transfer Updates! haha.. I was like, NOW IS NOT THE TIME PEOPLE! ha so.. not even excited Because we were in the middle of this intense situation and I had to stop and find out where I was going! haha We had the Sisters stay with us last night which was a tender Mercy from the Lord because I am going to miss them so much! gah. So that was our night and now here we are.

I am really going to miss being called a Brookswood Sister:(  I have loved serving for this Ward.  They are incredible.  Our phone has been buzzing nonstop all morning from the members in regards to transfers.. it's just like I could tell them to drop everything now and meet me in the pouring rain and they wouldn't even hesitate!  They have been so good to me and I just don't know how to repay them.  I feel like I don't have enough time or energy to tell them how much I love them and how much each of them has played a role in my life.  Even if some members don't even know me that well, I love them! These next couple days are going to be wild.  I have to run around telling everyone that it was enchanting to meet them and I have to pack! I'm gonna lose my mind! ..pray for me!  :/  I just hope and pray that I was able to strengthen this area.. I know I have and  I know there have been so many miracles, but you always wonder if you did enough.  Like yesterday when were in our conference, I was sitting there thinking, Oh my heck I need to do better at this, oh I gotta go back and do that, oh I gotta tell our Bishop all this stuff and I was just like! AHH! I can't leave yet! I have so much I need to improve on here! I trust the Lord though.  I know he has a plan for me and I will go where ever he wants me to go and be whoever he wants me to be and do whatever ever he wants me to do! This is his work and his glory to bring about the immortality and eternal life of man and I just want to help in any way I can.   Lately I have been feeling really overwhelmed in the fact that there are so many people who don't even know God, let alone about the Restored Gospel.  It causes me great anxiety and stress actually.. SO every little bit of what we as members do counts and matters. Never forget that.  I am going to be sad that I won't be in the Lower-Mainland anymore!

Last week, all the missionaries who aren't in the Lower-Mainland came in and went to the same mission conference but on a different day and one companionship stayed with us for two nights which was fun! Well while they were here, Sister Byam actually came and her and I got to go see My first Karen and her Baby Hannah! :) it was so fun!!! When We got back to my Apt, there were like 9 sisters there! I walk in and one of the sisters said it was like the parents had got home and found them partying! ha.. it's cuz it's my place and I've been out the longest! It's weird that I am starting to become one of the older ones in the mission! Just Saying.

Well anyway.. I love you all so much! I hope you had a great week! It was Remembrance Day here in Canada yesterday and it made me think of home.  Man, I miss the Veteran's Dinner we always had! Not to mention Grandma Summer's Jello! ;) haha Well, keep it classy and remember the small and simple things! Be strong and of Good Courage and Keep Calm and Preach the Gospel gosh dang it!
1-10-15 five stars 3-2-1. The church is True.

This is what I want to tell Brookswood:)-->  If you take a moment.. promise me this, that you'll stand by me forever, but if God forbid fate should step in.. and force us into a Goodbye.. if you have converts someday.. when they point to the pictures.. please tell them my name.  Tell them how the church went Wild. Tell them how I hope they Shine.... Long Long live the walls The Lord and I crashed through!  I had the time of my life here too!  Long long live all the Magic We made.. and Bring on all the Pretenders in Penticton, I'M NOT AFRAID!....

One day.. We will be remembered! :)  WORK iT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE YOUR SISTER MISSIONARY FOR LIFE, SISTER JAYNANNE PETERSEN! :] :] :]
ps. Thank YOU for standing by me forever:)

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE :) - and other little ditties...

HELLO MY FELLOW SAINTS! :]

Wow! What a weekend! Man, General Conference was soooooo, sooooooo good!

First things first, looks like I'm gonna stay, stay, stay! I am STILL in the Brookswood Ward! I didn't get transferred. After this transfer, I will have spent half my mission here. dang.  I did however become the District Supervisor Leader person though! Sister Galbraith left and Sister Weller is training Sister Pavone so I watch over them and call a lot and report stuff to the zone leaders and hold meetings and stuff like that! nothing major! I'm still companions with Sister Gale.

So General Conference was A-MAZING! like ohhhhhh my heck.  there were so many crazy good talks.  I just felt overwhelmed with it all! A couple that I liked was David A. Bednar! let's be honest, the guy is just good. DO MORE WITH LESS PEOPLE! i love it.  I also loved, loved, loved Deiter F. Uchedorfs talk! DOUBT YOUR DOUBTS! President Boyd K. Packer was spot on.  IT'S A MIGHTY FINE LIFE! CARRYING THE SCRIPTURES TO THEM ALL! just saying.  I quite enjoyed Elder Holland's, Eyring's, Ballard's, Christofferson's, Scott's, Mayne's, and of course our Beloved Prophet, Thomas S. Monson.  I wish I could talk about each one, but I don't have time! shoot.  haha but they were all very inspiring and heart felt and true and I know and believe that those men are called of God to preach and teach his Gospel.  I understand and get that the things they taught and spoke of are for us to study and ponder during the next six months.  They taught what Jesus Christ wants us to learn and know about.  I have such a strong Testimony of the leaders of the church.  My love for them grows deeper everyday.  They are incredible and the things which they have spoken are so true.  How can we not hearken unto the words of the Prophets? They are simply the mouthpiece for God.

Can you hear the Prohpets sing? Singing the song of the Lord our God.  It is the music of the one who shall not be slain again!  I saw a couple theme's in this conference and one of them was of course missionary work.  Missionary Work is everything the Gospel teaches and I feel ashamed to say that I did not see this until I actually came on a mission.  I know that preaching the gospel is  what the Lord wants us to do right now at this time in our lives.  We may not know it, but these are the moments that we're gonna remember most so we just gotta keep going! NOW IS THE TIME!  So will you join in his cruesade and will BE STRONG and stand with me?  Beyond the baracade where there are places he wants you to be! I know everyone has a desire to share the gospel but they just don't know how.  It's not as simple as just saying, "Hey I just met you and this is crazy, but I'm a mormon! Get baptized maybe?" but it could be that simple.  All you need is love!  I know that if we invite our friends to hear the message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ out of love, then they will not be offended.  So, come join in the fight that gives you the right to be free and share the gospel with your friends! Just do as Elder Uchedorf said and come, come, come! You'll be loving it for quite some time!  Now is the time to Seize the day! He's Sent out the Call! All for one and one for all!

Another theme I saw was God's love for us.  He loves us sooo much.  We just wants us to be happy and come unto him! He literally just wants us to enjoy this life and he is right there ready to catch us when we fall! I know that if you Just call his name he'll be there in a hurry! You don't have to worry! Cuz baby there ain't no mountian high enough! Ain't no valley low enough! Ain't no river wide enough, to keep him from getting to you! ;)  Sometimes life is hard.  Sometimes we don't see how there could ever be hope in this world of ever changing values.  Sometimes we feel as though Satan has such a tight grip on us and we just can't break free.  So how do we solve a problem like the Devil? Personally, when my world is falling apart and there is no light to break up the dark, that's when I look to the Savior.  When the waves are flooding the shore and I can't find my way home anymore, that's when I look to the Savior.  He is the light and he wants to be our candle on the water.
His love for us will never fade. It will never burn out.  It will never die.  Whether or not we deserve it, the Savior's love is simply always there so we should live in such a way that we can feel his love for us! I know he loves me.  I know that Jesus Christ died for me and suffered for my sins.  I know that he cares about me and is constantly thinking about me.  I know that he knows exactly what I've gone through and how I've felt and how I still do feel.  He is so mindful of me.  I know that I am a Daughter of God.  I know that He thinks so highly of me.  If we only knew how much he loved us, I think we would then love ourselves more and look past our imperfections and flaws.  I'm very grateful that I have a knowledge of the Savior and of his love for me.  I am very grateful that I have this amazing opportunity to be serving a mission for him here in Canada.  I can not believe that one year ago they lowered the age for missionaries to serve.  That has forever changed my life.  I will never forget that day.  God answers prayers.  He has answered mine countless times.  I would not be where I am today if this were not true.  He loves each of us and he has a plan for us.  Sometimes it is hard to just trust.  But I know that when we do exercise our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, then the blessings of Heaven pour out upon us.

I love My Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ.  He is my rock.  He is my light.  He is my Salvation. I love each of you so very much! Thank you so much for all the love and support!

Please just WORK iT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep things small and simple and be strong and of good courage.
Long live baby.
1-10-15!
Five stars!
Work iT! Work iT! Work iT!
The church is True and Jesus Christ is the one leading it.
This is His church.
Let us come follow him.

LOTS OF LOVE!!! YOUR SISTER MISSIONARY!!!!!!!!

CRAZY WEEK!

So first off I am so sorry that I am emailing today and not yesterday!  Our p-day got switched around because we got to go to the Temple today! ahhh. I love that place. We are so lucky.  Some missionaries have never even seen the temple so I feel very blessed to get to just see it two to three times a week!

SO TRANSFERS! I am still in Brookswood. Ha surprise, surprise.  BUT! I am training a greenie straight from the MTC!  Her name is  Sister Gale.  She is 22 and from Delta, Utah.  She is super sweet.  Scared to death of going tracting and making phone calls, but she is very nice.  She is your typical small town girl mormon.  She has this fancy machine thing that cleans her gums! so cool. let me tell ya. got to get me one of those! ;)

SO transfers were absolutely amazing.  I just loved them so so so so much.  I feel so spiritually uplifted after.  It was funny, we were all sitting on the back row of the chapel and President walks in and so we all stand up and he started to shake our hands and he goes, hi, hi, hi, hi, congratulations, hi, hi, hi, hi. Ha he said that when he got to me.  I was like, oh hey thanks haha. funny. guess you had to be there.  Being at these meetings is just like one big reunion. I love seeing my sisters! It's the best.  During this one part, President made Sister Willmore get up and bare her testimony and I just was so proud of her! like so proud.  So, of course I start to cry, and the whole time I'm just smiling as wide as I can at her, and after she sat down, President begins to talk in front of like 200 missionaries and he said something like, "Sister Petersen is just sitting there with tear-filled eyes, a little nervous for training. She's gonna do great!" ha what?! as Josie would say, "no no no no no!" I was crying tears of joy cuz of my sissy willmore! So, then I had to reassure my new comp that I am so, not nervous to train! which I'm not! I mean I know the area like the back of my hand.  I love my Brookswood.  I know how to find people and what to say and all that and if not, the Lord will help me no doubt.  I mean, yeah it is kinda A LOT of pressure because everything depends on me, and my knowledge, but I am trying to just keep it real, real simple and be super focused on setting a good example for my new greenie.  I'm not being prideful..I'm faking it until I make it..So let's just say I am doing amazing! :) ha.  Sister's Conference was also amazing! There are like forty plus sister missionaries now! It's amazing.  We had so many great insights and guidance.  I don't think I ever mentioned that Elder Christensen of the Seventy oversees this area and he works with President Tilleman a lot! He and his wife spoke to us and it was really good.  We just met in the RS room and it made it so much better.  Like so cozy.  We sang "As Sisters in Zion" and I don't know if you've heard the new one with more verses added, and what not, and they changed the words a bit, but it is beautiful.  I couldn't even finish singing because I was so choked up! ahh. so good.

SOO let's see.... None of our investigators came to church and I just about Raged.  JUST COME TO CHURCH DANG IT! so frustrating.  We teach the GP class and its just full of recent converts and investigators, and the ward missionaries, and its fun.  The Elders teach every other week.  Sometimes the members get too detailed about stuff and they don't keep it simple, so that's aco taco, but other than that, it is fun.  The Elders had this real old couple come they are teaching and I bore my testimony about the atonement and cried.  After, they were like, "Thank You for Your Testimony" and it was so simple, but so powerful and I just know that our efforts are not wasted.  Even though we feel like we repeat ourselves a lot, and we have the same testimony we always share, you never know who is going to be affected by it.  I know he was sincere when he told me that.

Oh so we have this one Investigator who is from Czech Republic.  I told her about Spencer obviously, and so now we are in.  Thanks bro.  Oh, and I am feeling lots better health-wise just to let you know! I am doing good. just drinking lots of water and getting real sick of crackers! ha. I have medicine I take that helps! But no more pain for me! yay.

Oh, so this week our stake has trek but it's not trek, it's Moroni's Quest.  I don't have time to explain but they have been working really hard and basically reenacting the Book of Mormon.  Sweet.  It sounds really cool. We can't go. Such a bummer.
So, Things are going well.  We do lots of tracting.  We see lots of miracles.
Life is good.  I love being a missionary. just saying.
I just gotta smile and laugh when everything is a joke.
That is all I can do.

So last week dad told me about this part in the temple where he got emotional, so I got emotional at that part too.  Then after, when we were going to the changing room, this lady in our ward, who I love, named sister Andrews, pulled us into one of the sealing rooms and made me look at the mirrors.  It was beautiful and I know that my family is going to be together forever.  I saw it.  I love the Temple.  Today the spirit was so strong.

Oh one more thing, I hope girls camp went well! I know it probably wasn't as good without Me and Tar there but I hope you were still able to manage!
haha, just kidding. ha, nope i'm not.
Girls camp is where it is at.

Anyway, I love you all so much and I hope you are doing well.  I don't have time to write letters today.  Work iT for me! Oh, Mollie your story you wrote me about trek was just a tear jerker.  ha I love you!
k by small and simple things are great things brought to pass! BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE! 5 stars! work it! :) 1-10-15
LOVE SISTER PETERSEN! :) :

HAPPY BiRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!!!

Hey guess what? I AM TWENTY! whaaa???
Where in the heck did the time fly? Great Scott!
I just can't believe it. That's Heavy.  haha
TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhh.

SO WEIRD! I don't think I can handle this.  Can you believe that I have been alive for twenty years?? I don't even feel like I've accomplished as much as I should of.  Dad I read the top of your letter about growing up.. made me emotional too.  I will always be your little girl:) I still remember last year on my birthday.. at midnight Mollie and I danced and screamed and spun around! haha I don't have any exciting plans for the day except I'm gonna go to the new Target that just opened up here in Langley.  Yeah that's right. I know how to party. Living on the edge.  ha So we have a FHE lesson with a family tonight and the mom
knows I love ice cream and since it's my birthday, she's making us have ice cream Sundae's! :) So that'll be good.  Other than that, I'm not really doing much.. it doesn't really feel like my birthday ya know? just another day of the mission. if ya think about it.. birthdays are kinda a big deal.  Like we are celebrating the fact that we were able to come to this earth and gain physical bodies! that is pretty neat. Just Sayin.

SOOOOOOOOO..... I AM SO JEALOUS OF THE TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh.  It sounds incredible.  I loved the pictures!  I just love Taylor Swift so much.  She is such an amazing role model.  Being on my mission re-confirms that to me even more.  People who can't stand her, well they just don't have a heart!  It's really hard not to sing her songs.  The music we sing and listen to is very, very strict.  I feel guilty if I even think of her music and do you know how hard that is for me?!? EXTREMELY HARD! let me tell you what! seriously though.  Even saying I like her or whatever isn't really me being "on purpose" out here cuz it's not church/mission related.  It's just one of those things I have to take in stride. Anywho!

TRANSFERS! Well I am still in Brookswood with Sister Byam and I am so so so glad it turned out this way.  It just makes it so much easier because we both know the area, we both know the people, and we both know each other! We still had to go to Transfers/Training because we brought Sister Duffy in.  It was so, so, so, so, great to see all my MTC SISTA'S! I never see or hear about Sis Kindlespire cuz she is clear up in Prince George so it was great to see her.  Seeing Sister Willmore of course was just about the best thing ever! I love her like a crazy! She was still going off about how skinny she thought I looked at 6 weeks.  I was like you're crazy! ha and she was like, "seriously you dropped so much weight! I was like WOW." hahahahahah NOT TRUE! if it is, than I gained it all back from eating my scooby doo fruit snacks and granola bars! SUCH A JOKE! with the new finding time between 5-7 though, we don't really eat these days anyways! And considering the fact that I can't really cook.. it all worked out! ha.  don't worry though, I eat.  ya have to. it's kinda part of that whole obedience thing.  such a drag. haha ;) So Anyway, Sister Kennedy got to stay the night with us on Thursday so that was so so fun! I love her! :) Ahh.  I just love missionaries.  Yesterday, Sister Byam and I taught the Relief Society lesson. ahh.  It was on Standing Strong and Immovable.  SUCH A GOOD TOPIC! we used the talk given by Julie B Beck about it.  We also used this story from President Monson in his talk, Dare to Stand Alone.  It was such a good story about how when he was in the navy and he thought he stood alone for being a Mormon.. you'll just have to read it.  Actually there is a Mormon message made about it.  MY goodness I LOVE THOSE! like seriously, I am going to watch those all the time when I get home. They are tearjerkers.

So whenever we talk to people, a lot of times they think we are nuns or JW's.  I'M LIKE UM NO! I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  come on people. get with it.  oh so yesterday I straightened my hair and everyone at church was commenting on it cuz it wasn't curled! ha it was funny.. anywho.

I love you all so much.  Thank you for loving me back.  I hope you can all feel my love.  I have the best support system.  I can't believe I am 20.  Thank you for making these past 20 years meaningful.  I cherish every moment I've spent with you all.  I am just so blessed.  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.  You are all the best thing that's ever been mine.  I hope you don't forget about me while I'm up here in Canada.  I want you to know that the Savior's church really has been restored back onto the earth and I would give up my life to testify of that.  I owe Jesus Christ everything.  He put me in the most incredible family and I am eternally thankful.

I LOVE YOU ALL! WORK IT!!!!!!! 1-10-15. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Be Strong and of Good Courage. 5 stars.  remember I love ya. and I really miss you all.
