I Love You

..Words would never be able to describe how I felt last Monday when I received your package.  I want you to know from the bottom of my heart how much that meant to me.  I went to the Post Office to pick it up and I thought it was gonna be this little package on the shelf, but instead she bent down and picked up this massive box from the ground and I was completely speechless.  I was just stunned.  Part of me immediately felt bad about how expensive that must have been and I was just in the weird shock mode.  Well, I went to my apartment and opened it... Mom.  I love you so much.  Thank you so much for everything.  I couldn't even go through it for about twenty minutes.  I just opened the box and cried.  I just sat there are cried, and cried, and cried.  I have never felt so overwhelmed in my entire life.  I was overcome with such a strong love.  It didn't have anything to do with the stuff that you sent or the things that you wrote me.  I just felt SO much love from each of you and I felt like there was someone out there who heard me and cared and loves me. A song that you sent says, "if your out on the road, feeling lonely and so cold, all you have to do is call my name and i'll be there.." Well... I wrote you a couple weeks ago that I was struggling and that I was lonely and what did you do? You heard my call and you came.  You were there. You were here, and I love you so much for it.  Thank you so much. I honestly have never been so overwhelmed with love in my entire life.  I could not even function. I love the music! Thank you!  this is super corny, but the song "Make You Feel My Love," was like my mom and dad were singing it directly to me.  It was so overwhelming and I can't express enough how grateful I am for all of you.  As soon as I saw Tara's handwriting I just cried more.  and that card.. Sadie's paw print hahah.. Oskar's promise to me.. the yo-yo.. Oh my gosh the clothes! I love them! Thank you so much! After I managed to stop sobbing, I just relished in my clothes. I mixed and matched and organized and I spent like all afternoon trying them on and pretending Mollie was there and I would show her how they looked.  Thank you so much! Those few hours were the happiest moments in my entire life. I will never forget them.  I just felt like Jaynanne. I felt like myself and it was so refreshing to be myself for a few minutes and not this missionary who has to know everything and be strong all the time and on top of things.  I was just me and only me.  I just knew that everything was going to be ok after that.  That I would be able to get through anything.  That no matter what happen or what challenges came my way, I would be able to face them because I have such amazing support and love from all of you.  I love you all so much.  Thank you for not forgetting about me.  Thank you for all the music!  It's been playing non stop.  and the oils and socks! thank you! I wish you understood how you made me feel.  I feel very blessed.

The rest of the week was good.  We had Zone Conference with President and Sister Tilleman and that went well.  President was like, "how long have you been here?" I was like, "I hit my eight month mark on Sunday." he was like, "No, how long have you been in this area?" I just looked at him and was like, "this is my first area." he just leaned back and was like WoW.  It was one of those moments where you shake your hand infront of someones face and they don't see it ya know?! haha so yeah..  on Friday, there were 12 companionship's that went to Abbotsford where all the Laurels and Priests in the Providence were at this conference and we acted as their Zone Leaders for the Day and went around to all these workshops.  It was really fun!

A huge highlight of the week was going to  The temple With Karen.  It was so spiritual.  She looked so pretty and Pure in her white.  It was such a special experience that I will never forget.  For the first time ever, when they prayed for the missionaries, I felt it.  I felt the power.  I felt the faith and prayers of the Members.  I felt like I was one of those missionaries they were praying for.  I am so happy I got to go to the Temple with Karen.  On Wednesday, we met at the temple with Karen to go on splits and she was telling me that her mom who has been inactive for Twenty five years saw the example Karen was setting and she has decided to come back to church and take the Temple lessons and be sealed to her husband and Karen for time and All eternity.  I was soooooo happy! I was like "KAREN! do you see what an impact your decision to go to the temple has made on your family!?"  and than she just burst into tears and said, "No Sister Petersen, this is all happening because of you." and than she just cried.  It was so tender.  The temple was behind her and it was beautiful moment. I love her! I am so grateful that I was able to help.  I don't really feel like I did that much.  ha.  But hugging her in the Celestial room was special. I was all anxious and nervous haha and I know it is going to be like that in Heaven.

Well, I love you all.  Hope you all have a great week.

CRAZY WEEK!

So first off I am so sorry that I am emailing today and not yesterday!  Our p-day got switched around because we got to go to the Temple today! ahhh. I love that place. We are so lucky.  Some missionaries have never even seen the temple so I feel very blessed to get to just see it two to three times a week!

SO TRANSFERS! I am still in Brookswood. Ha surprise, surprise.  BUT! I am training a greenie straight from the MTC!  Her name is  Sister GaleShe is 22 and from Delta, Utah.  She is super sweet.  Scared to death of going tracting and making phone calls, but she is very nice.  She is your typical small town girl mormon.  She has this fancy machine thing that cleans her gums! so cool. let me tell ya. got to get me one of those! ;)

SO transfers were absolutely amazing.  I just loved them so so so so much.  I feel so spiritually uplifted after.  It was funny, we were all sitting on the back row of the chapel and President walks in and so we all stand up and he started to shake our hands and he goes, hi, hi, hi, hi, congratulations, hi, hi, hi, hi. Ha he said that when he got to me.  I was like, oh hey thanks haha. funny. guess you had to be there.  Being at these meetings is just like one big reunion. I love seeing my sisters! It's the best.  During this one part, President made Sister Willmore get up and bare her testimony and I just was so proud of her! like so proud.  So, of course I start to cry, and the whole time I'm just smiling as wide as I can at her, and after she sat down, President begins to talk in front of like 200 missionaries and he said something like, "Sister Petersen is just sitting there with tear-filled eyes, a little nervous for training. She's gonna do great!" ha what?! as Josie would say, "no no no no no!" I was crying tears of joy cuz of my sissy willmore! So, then I had to reassure my new comp that I am so, not nervous to train! which I'm not! I mean I know the area like the back of my hand.  I love my Brookswood.  I know how to find people and what to say and all that and if not, the Lord will help me no doubt.  I mean, yeah it is kinda A LOT of pressure because everything depends on me, and my knowledge, but I am trying to just keep it real, real simple and be super focused on setting a good example for my new greenie.  I'm not being prideful..I'm faking it until I make it..So let's just say I am doing amazing! :) ha.  Sister's Conference was also amazing! There are like forty plus sister missionaries now! It's amazing.  We had so many great insights and guidance.  I don't think I ever mentioned that Elder Christensen of the Seventy oversees this area and he works with President Tilleman a lot! He and his wife spoke to us and it was really good.  We just met in the RS room and it made it so much better.  Like so cozy.  We sang "As Sisters in Zion" and I don't know if you've heard the new one with more verses added, and what not, and they changed the words a bit, but it is beautiful.  I couldn't even finish singing because I was so choked up! ahh. so good.

SOO let's see.... None of our investigators came to church and I just about Raged.  JUST COME TO CHURCH DANG IT! so frustrating.  We teach the GP class and its just full of recent converts and investigators, and the ward missionaries, and its fun.  The Elders teach every other week.  Sometimes the members get too detailed about stuff and they don't keep it simple, so that's aco taco, but other than that, it is fun.  The Elders had this real old couple come they are teaching and I bore my testimony about the atonement and cried.  After, they were like, "Thank You for Your Testimony" and it was so simple, but so powerful and I just know that our efforts are not wasted.  Even though we feel like we repeat ourselves a lot, and we have the same testimony we always share, you never know who is going to be affected by it.  I know he was sincere when he told me that.

Oh so we have this one Investigator who is from Czech Republic.  I told her about Spencer obviously, and so now we are in.  Thanks bro.  Oh, and I am feeling lots better health-wise just to let you know! I am doing good. just drinking lots of water and getting real sick of crackers! ha. I have medicine I take that helps! But no more pain for me! yay.

Oh, so this week our stake has trek but it's not trek, it's Moroni's Quest.  I don't have time to explain but they have been working really hard and basically reenacting the Book of Mormon.  Sweet.  It sounds really cool. We can't go. Such a bummer.
So, Things are going wellWe do lots of tracting.  We see lots of miracles.
Life is good.  I love being a missionary. just saying.
I just gotta smile and laugh when everything is a joke.
That is all I can do.

So last week dad told me about this part in the temple where he got emotional, so I got emotional at that part too.  Then after, when we were going to the changing room, this lady in our ward, who I love, named sister Andrews, pulled us into one of the sealing rooms and made me look at the mirrors.  It was beautiful and I know that my family is going to be together forever.  I saw it.  I love the Temple.  Today the spirit was so strong.

Oh one more thing, I hope girls camp went well! I know it probably wasn't as good without Me and Tar there but I hope you were still able to manage!
haha, just kidding. ha, nope i'm not.
Girls camp is where it is at.

Anyway, I love you all so much and I hope you are doing well.  I don't have time to write letters today.  Work iT for me! Oh, Mollie your story you wrote me about trek was just a tear jerker.  ha I love you!
k by small and simple things are great things brought to pass! BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE! 5 stars! work it! :) 1-10-15

I Love the Gospel!

HEY! hi. HELLO!
haha SOOOO I just read all your emails from this week and when I'm done writing you, I read all you emails from last week because I have some more time! See the computer kicks you off after an hour sooo you have to go get someone to let you on for another hour! I have five minutes left of this hour and sometimes I am worried that they won't let us go back on for another hour because others may need the computers too! so just in case, I'll send this little message so you know I am here! and then I will write you a longer one in a few minutes after I have more time! Does that make sense? ok cool.

                   An Hour Later..... :)

Hi! Ok so this has been a crazy crazy week!  We had zone conference which was absolutely incredibly amazing and wonderful and beautiful and magical and I loved it SO SO SO much! President Tilleman is such an inspiring man.  Everything he says and does is totally led by the spirit and it is so cool to witness.  After conference, Sister Arbon and I both got to have interviews with him! My interview was about 45 minutes long which is really rare! Everyone else's was like tenish minutes max!  ha The Lord just had a lot he wanted to chat with me about I guess! So far, that interview has been my favorite thing in Canada.  It was so powerful and strong and I felt the love of the Savior fill the room.  It was really comforting and powerful! No worries though, I didn't have this long interview because I am sad or anything! ha NO! it was because in my prayers I'm always askin all these questions and telling Him about all this stuff so He used President Tilleman to answer them cuz I think sending an angel might have been over doing it a little!

haha alright so to answer some questions.  Yes, it rains here everyday, but we have been fortunate enough to have sun every time we go out to walk! Dad, the places aren't that posh! it's just like Utah. Think about where the Ogden Temple is ya know?? umm...  My shoes. alright, well I love my shoes soooooo much! they are so comfortable and great! sadly, I have to pull the leather strap clear over or else they won't stay on cuz my stupid feet are to narrow. This caused a rip so hopefully they don't fall apart.  I think I'll just have someone in the ward sew it!

So I hope you guys are taking care of the missionaries in North Ogden the way I am being taken care of! like for real.  You better be feeding them and giving them rides and making sure they have everything they need and give them cute hand outs and help them to have member present lessons! They are serving the Lord so they need to be in good condition! ha I am gonna be crazy annoying when I grow up because I'll always be calling the missionaries and making sure they're doing good!

alright sooo, Wednesday I am going on exchanges so I am really really excited about that! I'll stay here and Sister Arbon will go to a different area! also, Friday we are getting a mini missionary.  This is a young woman who is thinking about serving a mission. She is going to stay with us for the weekend so that will be fun!

We had our first investigator last week and I invited her to be baptized and everything and later in the week she called and said she wanted nothing to do with us because her bible study group said we were a cult. ahhh. It was a bummer, but we still love her! We can't dwell on it! I just pray that one day she will come to know the truth!

I'm so jealous that Spencer is in Disneyland! I am definitely planning a trip for when I get home! get ready Tara! Save up! it's a happening.

I always forget what I've already told you from the week prior.  hmm well this week was all about the Atonement for me.  I learned a lot about it and I just walk around here wonder struck wondering why in the world I am so lucky! I mean I have the best family ever.  I love you guys so much! I talk about you every dinner apt. and I never get sick of it. You all give me so much strength.  I was so blessed to grow up where I did and be surrounded by the people I was. Sundays make me think about home a lot.  We have the strongest ward ever.  We are so lucky to be able to know all about the basics of the gospel and how to function at chuch.  We do it right.  Yesterday we spent sometime talking to the Young Women's president and the entire time, I was just bragging about my young women and how we do it in the first ward! :) ha seriously.  I just went off on my testimony and love for the program.

Kay so today we were driven to the store by this cute lady and her three little kids that are in our ward and one of them (the three year old) is named JOSIE! whaaaatttt??? haha so yeah.. they got to hear all about my Josie! :)  actually we had dinner with them the other day and it was so fun! I always like to ask couples how they met and it is so fun! :) we've heard some pretty funny stories! it's a good conversation starter! There was so much I was going to tell you and now I can't remember!

Oh, if and when you send me a package.. would you pretty please put my brown skirt with the teal and orange and brown swirls and flowers in it?? My girl Mollie will know which one I'm talking about! How is my Emma doing?!? I miss her laugh. That's so fun that you all got to go to St. George!!!!!

Kay I sent the Stowers' some letters, but I don't have their dang address so I sent it to our house! make sure they get them! I haven't got anything in the mail yet, but I have faith that mail will come!  Spencer send me an email or a letter. ha sorry you got your wisdom teeth out! that is no fun.

Well I gotta go, I just want you guys to know that this church is true.  Everyday I write my daily miracles down and it has helped me see that God is in the details of our lives.  I would be nothing without this gospel. It gives me strength everyday and it helps me become a better person! I already am forever changed because of my mission! I'm so happy to be here.  I love knowing that I am a Daughter of God.  I know that he is watching over me.  I feel his love everyday and I know that I am choosing the right.  Being a missionary is such an honor.  You all give me so much strength.  I feel your support and love and it pushes me to be the best I can be! I couldn't do this without any of you! watch for each other and follow Jesus Christ.  It is because of him that we can be forgiven of all our sins and imperfections!

ALRIGHT I REALLY HAVE TO GO! haha I love you all. every single one of ya. say hi to the ward for me.  Tell Kylinn that there is a young woman here who reminds me so much of her! I miss seeing her and all my young women.  Young Women's is where it's at.  kay don't forget that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass! also, 1-10-15! If you really strive to do this everyday, I promise you your lives will change for the better and you will be blessed!
alright WORK iT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! five stars! :] Mollie's a babe.
